Strut tower brace

is there any reason why this would not work on a 98 v6 I know it says that it is for a GT but since the conecting points should be the same I don't know why it wouldn't work
I know this isn't really going to do much/anything for handling performance and subframe connectors would be a better choice but I like the way that they look so as a visual mod would this work on a v6

You could send me that $150 and get the same effect lol. It should work but like you said, no performance gain. Only looks and only under the hood. Everytime you need to take the intake off that bar is going to be in your way. STBs interfer with c/c plates sometimes.

Yeah I probably won't get it I just wanted to know if I could if I felt like it
I have to much planned to blow $ on visual stuff
I want a 4.2 + H/C/I from ssms
or a 99+ 3.8 to be bored to a 4.2 + everything to make it work + H/C/I from ssms

i had one that fit on my old V6. american muscle is good though. if it doesn't fit, you can return it hassle free.
and besides it being a cool visual mod, if you happen to get into a front end collision like i did, it prevented the fenders from collapsing around my engine and the block from being damaged.

I read a write up on a different forum (can't remember which) where a guy was talking about how if you bore a split port 3.8 .060 you get a 4.3 so it's not really a 4.2 but it will work just fine with a 4.2l crank

i actually had the same question. i thought that the new crank would cause the new pistons to go up higher into the valves, however, the piston assembly is actually SHORTER so there is no problem.
