factory batterys are usally a 12 month battery, I've seen some go 4 years and some 4 months...so, if yors is more than 2 or 3 years old, you have some doubts about it and before winter sets-in, I'd consider replacing it....

lol gotcha

but just right now my wife called me and said the car doesnt want to start, b4 she turned it off the A/C was on, radio and radar detecor. And when she tried to start it, it didnt even want to crank. Ok so i told her to turn off the a/c, radio, radar detector and wait for a little while to turn it back on. Once she did that and waited about 5 min and it turned on . OK and she called me back saying why was the radio stations reseted? Ummm i was thinking it could be the battery cuz the alternator wouldnt do that or the starter

so battery could be the problem, right?

Before you go and buy a new one get it tested for free at auto parts store. They can test the batt and alt to make sure they are both working either one could be causing the problem.

Good idea. I had that problem with my old car, the terminal being loose and I tightened that up and it fixed the problem. I just bought a new battery last week for my Mustang. The origional lasted 7 years(only 22,000 miles). I bought a 60 month battery so they can generally last a long time as long as you keep the corrosion off and keep them cleaned up. The life of the battery also depends on if it sits out and gets below 0 and snowed on etc. Or if it is parked in the garage every night.
