I have a 98 sixer and was wondering if there is anything I can do to the engine to make my car have more power and speed. I already have BBK throttle body, BBK cai, and asp underdrive pulleys. im waiting to get my gears. but want to know if there is anything i can do to the engine....if anybody has opinions or anything it would help.

you could always replace the cams, port and polish the heads or even bore it out...

 

so how would I go about doing that?

 

just shop around...vmptuning.com has a lot of things for our sixers...but i would get gears and a tuner first then do a cam swap as one of the last things you do...gears is gonna be the best performance mod you will see...and the aluminum Driveshaft you said is coming soon in your sig...should be done a litttle later as well, but i dont guess it would hurt...

im kinda new at all this so if im wrong on anything, other feel free to correct me, but these are just my opinions

For bolt on's all you have left is getting a tune and thats about it. Otherwise you need to either get into the motor and do some sort of heads,cam,intake upgrade or go with nitrous or some kind of forced induction.

 

do a split port swap and go from there that's what I plan on doing when I get the cash.

 

split-port swap, heads, and a cam... however u'll probably need to take it to a shop. it can be a little expenisve


you said you're going to do gears, get a tune too.


i would look into a suspension set up, help you handle a little better.

 

yea im gettin a bullit suspension kit 4 around 450 or so after i get gears and a tune

 

ummm, i'd maybe look into a different suspension kit. its good... but there are better.
