Default 2000 HID problems

Hey whats up I'm new to the forums . Well Ive had problems in the past with my HiD on my car. First problem was the driver side wiring cable which had to be replaced. Fixed that and a few months later the **** to turn on the lights had to be replaced because it was burned out. I was wondering if this can be because of the HiD or just bad wiring with the car. Also didn't have a relay connected to the battery so, I believe that was the problem. Please help me out here.

wiring issue. The headlight **** is simply just a switch. Did you get the HID package from AM or is it an ebay kit. Should have come with a fuse, wiring, 2 ballast boxes and the bulbs

Got the kit from ebay. Pretty much brought everything dunno about the wiring but ya. If its the two wires you had to connect to the hid then yeah.

Well when I fixed the **** they told me it can be cause by the HID, so I just threw that in there just in case.
For the wiring problem I had was the engine would start shaking and i wouldnt have enough power to accelerate or do anything, also when i turned on the defrost it would happen but that cross wiring was fixed.

That could be the problem. Do you have a link to the kit you bought? because theres quite a few wires that should have come with it. It's a whole wiring harness that you were suppose to get that connects to the fuse box/battery/ballast boxes.. etc. I'm always weary about buying electrical things off ebay especially HID's since there are rip offs out there just like everything else. Here is a good step by step installation to follow to make sure you have everything you need and you can check your wiring.

I got HID's back when they only had single beam but those are still relatively close to the same installation.

I was checking out that link you gave me. The hid kit that I had didn't have any wires that went to the fuse box or the battery. It was just the ballast and the bulbs connected. I'm thinking about going to a professional this time mainly because it will be the same price for what I got the hid for.

About that eBay link I believe it won't work for this was about 5 months ago, but I will look for the seller and check to a similar product. Thanks for all that info, really appreciate it.
