Default Header's ?

I went today to get my header fix the guy fixing it saw there are more crack “holes" on the driver side headers he fixes one of the biggest hole. But he said he will charge me $150 to fix the headers.
My question is should I buy one headers or fix them?"One more thing he said the pass side sounds like its starting too"

Our stock headers suck. My passenger side has a big old hole in it too. I'd recommend just buying some new headers from americanmuscle.com. That's def what I'm going to do...

its up to you. Shorties wont add much hp at all. Long tubes can help but they require a new mid pipe or custom setup to connect to your catback assuming your running some kind of aftermarket exhaust.

Mac long tubes are good qualty I have installed them on 3.8s before. Since you have true duals it sounds like then a shop would need to cut up the true duals and connect them to the long tubes.

the coating is the difference... think its pretty much all visual..

Mac makes good headers
Headman Hedders
JBA headers
BBK

Depending on what your smog laws are, or if you care about them.. i believe all of their shorties are smog legal in 50 states.

Long tubes well... I'd look at Mac..

Chrome is just to make them look nice and might help protect the headers from rustinf some (not sure about that). The Ceramic coating keeps them from rusting and helps keep the heat in the header and not in the engine bay. So you get a cooler engine bay and more heat in the exhaust where it should be to help with exhaust flow. Overall if you can afford ceramic i would go ceramic. I forgot about the smog deal, but like he said if you have emissions testing shorties will be your answer. Just make sure they say there 50 state legal some dont for some reason.
