Gear and T-Lok installation too much $$
I bought the 3.73 gears, the bearing kit, a t-lok, and gear oil, everything needed for installation. I brought it to a shop and the guy told me it might run me about 500 to 600 dollars to install. He said it might be less depending how easy the gears fit. Am i being ripped off??

600 would be good if it included the parts and fluids. Thats to much money. For someone supplying all the parts and fluid it should not cost over $150-$300max. I had my F150 gears installed for $180 and i gave them everything. Then i had it redone and they did it for $540 with new gears and install and fluid and i gave them a new posi. SO thats very high.

Damn Randy you sure have the hookups haha. Guess I'll see if I have any luck. Wouldn't mind putting some 4.10's in this summer. Know of anyone in the Austin, TX, San Antonio, TX or Chicago area
