Default Gear and T-Lok installation too much $$

I bought the 3.73 gears, the bearing kit, a t-lok, and gear oil, everything needed for installation. I brought it to a shop and the guy told me it might run me about 500 to 600 dollars to install. He said it might be less depending how easy the gears fit. Am i being ripped off??

A good way to tell is get a quote from a dealership, if its alot less than the dealership its a good price, if its near or more your being ripped offed.

yeah keep looking around for a good install it usually runs between 250-300. Make sure its a good shop also because a poor install will cause the gears to make noise

600 would be good if it included the parts and fluids. Thats to much money. For someone supplying all the parts and fluid it should not cost over $150-$300max. I had my F150 gears installed for $180 and i gave them everything. Then i had it redone and they did it for $540 with new gears and install and fluid and i gave them a new posi. SO thats very high.

my shop charged me $400 for the install, install kit, and fluids. and this is the best place in the city. if you have everything, it should be no more than $300.
