Default engine leak, and something scaring me

i think i do have an engine leak, i can hear a ticking noise as i accelerate coming from the left side of the engine, and it accelerates as the engine goes up in RPM. the second thing is that when i accelerate heavily, or floor it, my engine sputters on takeoff, but smooths out around 40 i believe. and there is no sputtering when i sit and rev the engine in park. not completely sure what that is, but i think it might be my injectors. any info?

It is your injectors.

could also be worn or fouled plugs. May want to be a little more careful with the absolute declarations hurley... unless your last name is Karnak or "The Great"

Could be a blown piston, my truck did that it started ticking and had less power then it got worse and worse and worse until it finally locked up and shot the piston through the oil pan lol and I was keeping it below 2000 RPM's.

I have the ticking from the same spot, and it speeds up as I accelerate, but i haven't experienced any loss of power, nor is the engine missing. I'm changing out the plugs, if its not that, then i'm pretty sure its the injector.

Same exact thing happened to mine and it was the injectors.

noises are hard to diagnose on the internet, but whne someone says ticking, I think of an exhaust leak.

To check a bad injector, go to an auto parts store and buy a stethescope. Place the business end on each injector and move the throttle to raise the rpms. You will be able to hear the ticking sound that each injector makes and will know instantly if one is louder then another. You can do the same with a long screw driver.
