is a T-Lock worth getting?

Default is a T-Lock worth getting?

so i orderd my gears(4.10's) and my girlfriends dad is installing everything...i want to know if a t-lock is worth getting? if so i'll order it tomorrow if not i'll get me something else.

don't bother with the gears if you don't put in the t-lok.

plus he already has DR's so if he gets gears and no T-lok we will all have to smack him

I'd get a Torsen style diff instead since they don't have clutches that wear out and can be used as a "brake assisted" locker. However, a T-Lok is cheaper so for price sake, it may be not be worth it to get a Torsen style diff.

ohhh and btw. jegs.com has them for $229. i think v6mustangstuff.com has them for an even $200.

could. i think out the door, labor/parts i got mine done for 800. seemed like it was $500 for parts and 3 for labor. right around there. that way u know where that rearend has been. just gotta save that coin.

mmmk im going to get the t-lock. i can get it from stangmods.com for 190$. so the next nice Sunday they are going in.

how much do just gears weigh? i orderd 4.10 gears and it says the package is 15lbs

15lbs seems kinda light. I Shipped some to a guy once and I think they were 27lbs, 8.8 though but I wouldn't think there would be that much of a difference. Could be the package weight of my hood that I'm thinking about though. One of the two, or both were 27lbs.

ahh ic, i thought that seemed heavy.. but idk, never knew the weight of gears before or held them. :shrug: ahwell. i expected them to be 5-10lbs at the most.

or you could buy a brand new one from me for $150+shipping. its the frpp t-lok.
