yeah you will be fine with an ebay one. There is a chance it may not fit perfectly and you might have to make some cuts but what can you expect I mean your only paying $25. Pcola had to do that with his I'm not sure what he had to fabricate though he will probably chime in.

You won't need a tune for tires it shouldn't effect anything. Are the rims 18x9 because the idle tire size should have been 275/35/18. Since you have an aspect ratio of 40 on an 18" rim that seems a little high. I'm not sure why it seems slower I mean the larger rims you put on technically the slower it will get but I wouldn't think it would be that noticeable. That tire size your running doesn't seem safe does it look really weird on the rim?

the second number is just the width of the rim. I'm guessing you have a 18x8.5 which should have been with a 245/40/18. Don't know what to tell you about the sluggish part. I would just check the air filter, make sure the mass air sensor is clean. Stuff like that

why wouldn't that work? we just told him any 99-04 one off ebay will fit his 3.9 so why wouldn't the one that AM sells which is basically an ebay intake fit?
It will fit I am almost 100% sure, there is no difference in the motors.

It may have something to do with the length of the pipe since its a fender well intake. I don't know. I was just informing him because clearly AM wouldn't say something will not fit on a certain year if it actually did.

I'm guessing he fabricated it for the hose?? and if not then I guess your right as I said I was just quoting what AM.com says on their website. My intake looks nicer than that from the picture.. looks like the thing didn't fit so he put something around it

I just pm'd him. He is a member over on 3.8 mustang. He installed it, no fab work what so ever, just straight out of the box from AM. So like i said 99-03 intakes fit 04's since it is the same motor, ford just likes to fudge it's measurements...haha

Lol, it's kind of hard for an intake to not work.
