Well you will never get the v8 sound out of a v6 exhaust. Your best bet is to go buy the muffler of your choice. I had Mac flowpaths but theres also flowmaster, magnaflow, borla, spintech, etc etc. Go to the exhaust shop and have them custom make an H pipe and catback with 2 mufflers of your choice. Shouldnt cost over $400 for everything.

which is better to get your exhaust h-pipe or to have a true dual exhaust? cause thats what mine is, no connector in the middle, just straight from the engine.

on my 99 V6, i have the flowmaster force II. its a Y pipe thatcomes off the cat, into two flowmaster 40 series mufflers then dual exit with stanless steel tips. i would love to have a stright pipe, or no mufflers, or no cat. but we have emissions here in IL so, this works fine and sounds really nice. ihave fouled most people into thinking its an 8. here is a pic, its kinda a bad pic, i apologize for that, but its the only one i currently have on my computer.BTW the date in the left hand corner of the pic is completely wrong. this pic was actually taken on 07/01/05

Or you could just get a V6 X-pipe and a GT Catback exhaust of the same year...

The best thing you can do is take it to a muffler shop and have them put some flowmasters on it. It will run you about $450. Thats the best thing you can do for the buck.

negatron, flowmasters are over rated and for the price of putting them on your stock exhaust you can buy the flowmaster kit for around the same price and put it on your self if your mechanically inclined. I have heard flowmasters on 99+ cars and have taken some dyno run rom customers.....they dont add as much becuase your losing backpressure with the free flowing exhaust such as that.
