First of all, you only have one cam. Second, take a look at the cams on www.supersixmotorsports.com.

It would be a cam not cams. And a cam isn't exactly something you should be looking at this early in the modding process. I ofcourse am assuming you guys haven't gone that deep into modding your stangs yet. Most people who want a cam end up backing out when they realize the time (installing it themselves) and cost (having it installed) involved in doing a cam swap. Not to mention a cam alone really should be paired with some ported and polished intakes, and some ported and polished heads preferably with larger valves better valve springs etc.

As for the question at hand specs are determinned by your mods, future goals, and budget. We need way more info then just a 02 V6 mustang.

Well Cuban, before you go to throw **** at me, I would've listed anything if it was different from stock.

Considering I have not changed anything major, and I do not have an after market tuner (yet) I didn't list them.

It was a simple question as to where to find a detailed spec of a 02 v6. Nothing about "how much will it cost me" ect.

I already know of a place that will install the cam.

I don't plan on going with only a cam, as once I figure out what compcams can offer me, I will go from there as to figuring out what else I want to do.

I have talked to someone that has told me a cam and nitrous will go hand in hand, if done properly, ect. I am just trying to research, and I came up empty handed on my specs to send.

I need things like axle ratio, weight, rpms, and it goes into more detailed things such as pistons, piston type, ect.

For the money that compcam's is asking I would look at getting a custom ground cam to fit your application best.

Are you going with nitrous or are you not sure yet? Going with one particular power-adder will change what cam specs you should need.

Yes I will for sure be buying a wet kit. I was thinking cam + 50 shot or something along those lines.

I'm just trying to figure out a rough price. I still need to purchase things like..gears/posi.

But considering I'll need a tune for gears and posi I'm trying to gather up a price for it all in one big shot.

Wow well don't we get pissy easily.

Anyways I didn't mean to knock you I just pointing some stuff out to someone who is obviously pretty new to this. That's all if that bothered you well I don't know what to tell you.

Oh and just an fyi I am running nitrous on my 99 V6. And was looking at getting a cam before I decided to call it quits on this car as a high 13 second timeslip is good enough for me in the car. That being said I advise you to get a custom cam ground for you. A off the shelf cam will never be as good just like a mail order tune or a tune that comes in those programmers will never be as good as a good dyno tune.

As for specs. You plan on swapping gears I see so you would know the answer to that. RPM don't even worry about because a good cam designer will know all that already. Piston and piston type doesn't matter because you're putting this into a stock motor. Just call up comp or who ever you want to do your cam and talk to one of their tech guys.

Good luck and lighten up a bit ok

Nah wasn't getting pissy or anything it was just I asked a simple question and I felt you were jumping out to go ahead and throw things at me like "you don't even know how much it costs and bla bla bla"

Where..ya know..thats all I'm trying to figure out right now. Is prices for this.

And I needed the piston stuff ect because of the tech form on compcams..

What would you recommend for me for a custom ground, I mean.. Where should I be looking at?

Anyone> RPM? Comp?

I'm not going to lie and say oh get this cam with these specs because I don't know that much about this stuff to say something like that and feel like I could back it up you know. Call up super six or rpm and tell them what you have and what you want and they'll come up with cam specs for you on the spot. And they have some good prices to boot so you'd be set. Oh delk performance is another option too.

Sorry for the confusion didn't mean to be a dick or anything :-)

Like I said, look at what Super Six Motorsports has on their site. If you still can't decide then call them up as see what they'd recommend.
