Default 4:10s eh?

Anyone with a v6 in here got 4:10s and positrac?

I was thinking about buying a used positrac unit and some 4:10s cause I need some acceleration. How much would it improve the acceleration any way?

Im doing 10.14 0-60, when I guess I should be doing 9.9, but my car is like 10 years old..how much time could I knock off that 10.14 with the 4:10's?

4.10's should take about .5 seconds off the q/t mile run for you. I personally don't have them, but have heard many positive things about the improvement from the stock gears. You personally will see a great step up since i am assuming you have a 94-98 style V6 which comes with 2.37 gearing, so 4.10's will definately give you that little bump in acceleration you are looking for.

some may disagree but i found that 4.10s lowered my beloved top speed a bit too much for my liking...i swear by 3.73s but either way you go...gears plus posi will make you feel like you have a new car...youre gonna love it

just talkin from my experience...4.30s at 160 musta been a lot of wear and tear for yours ..160+ must have taken some work to reach, whered you get up to that speed? and are we still talking a streetable car?

check out the video i put up. i think i titled it "mighty mustangs on the bahn". the guy video taping took me to 170 in his stang which is a 2002 GT supercharged that has 430's in it this kind of cheats since he has a viper spec T-56. the cobra in the video is pretty much stock besides gears and exhaust with 430's. they tracked speed with the GPS.

dude im in germany......
