hi im new to mustangs....just bought a 98 v6 and tryin to spice it up a bit.....bought a MAC cold air intake and hopin someone can tell me if i made a good decision ....also lookin to make my pony sound a little nicer.....i hear a borla exhaust gives more power than even a flowmaster but not sure.....someone...anyone...i could use some feedback thanks

 

dont expect to really feel anything with the CAI, and as for exhaust just pick the one you like the best(sound), flowmaster, mac, magnaflow etc. they will all give the same hp. and welcome to the board!

 

Can you aford borla or is it worth the price ur gona pay. yeah exhaust is all in how u like what u hear. i love the sound of borla but i dont like the dent in my bank acount.

 

CAI will give you a cool little sound... and for the most part...all CAIs give you the same thing... If I were you..I would've went and bought a cheap one off of ebay or AM..You won't really feel a umph from it though..

As for the exhaust... borla has a awesome sound..but will run you like....800-1000 I beleive...

Flowmaster, Mac, Pypes, Magnaflow are all cheaper.. and they all sound fairly nice...HOWEVER you won't ever get the sound of a v8 unless you've got a v8.

And don't be fooled..just cause everyone and their grandma has a flowmaster..doesn't necessarily mean they are the best out.. many people will snag them because they are easy to find ect..

Just shop around..listen to some vid clips on here.. and welcome to the forums

 

ive listened to clip of a borla v6 mustang exhaust IMO i think its the closest to a v8 but do ya want to spend a grand
