Default DD wheels worth it on a V6?

Alright guys, I almost have enough cash set aside to get new wheels, and was wondering is it really worth it to have DD wheels on a V6? To those of you who have 18x10's on your 6, is that a noticable decrease in speed and acceleration than say from 18x9's? Obviously rotating the tires is out of the question since the two fronts and rears would differ...so...

Should I just say the hell with it and get 18x9/18x10's to get the "look" but maybe have an even slower car than getting 18x9's all around and not having the nice wide rear tires, but maybe better performance and being able to rotate the tires..

Thoughts?

pretty much personal preference. It will slow you down a little but its really no big deal because if you go to the track and stuff like that most likely you have tires for the track. I have 17x9 all around on mine just because i can rotate the tires which in the long run will make it so i don't have to buy tires as often. Like I said basically just personal preference.

EDIT: If you don't care about replacing the tires more often get the DD i like the looks of them =D Thats my 2 cents

With your car and your mods it doen't matter. Hell I go to the track and have way more mods then you and still run on my street wheels/tires 18x9, 18x10" DD bullit chrome wheels and run better times then many other power adder sixers that swap their wheels and tires. Just get whatever you want to look good. Because at this point performance isn't a big deal.

I say go for it bro get the DD in the rear. Like Cuban said and he know's his **** you dont need to worry about being slow it will prob slow u down like .2 secondsin the 1\4 miles so if ur worried throw out ur back seat and some other useless **** and ull be right back to a stock running v6

With the exception of the sexy *** wheels u will now have

deep Dish wheels are the ****, but i think your talkin more about the size, and to be honest it's a 300% difference in traction and handling... lower your stang and put on some big tires and it's an entirely new beast, I can keep up with my boys WRX like its nothing, DO IT...DO IT....

That's not so much what I'm worried about, it's more like worried about being slower than a plain old v6

I'll get dd's

LOL - Is your car gonna be slower than a plain old V-6 because of the DD, sure. But who cares? Like I was trying trying to say, who cares if the car gets a 15.2 or 15.5 in the 1/4....you want notice the difference in stop light racing anyway. Arguing about how fast one stock 6'er is compared to another stock 6'er is like arguing about virginity among hookers.

Stick the rims on the car and drop in a set of 4.10's and them maybe the added traction will prove to be a benefit. Just make the car the way you like it. DD's on a stang look awesome. Lots of guys won't want to race you becuase they will be scared.
