The first question you must ask is..."Do I need one?"

8.8 rears are nice if you blow out your stock rear end and need a new one or you are pushing a lot of HP and don't want to risk blowing it out. I blew mine out on my 98 thats why I went out and bought a new one. Stock 7.5 rears can take 300+ HP easy, there are several people doing it.
You can also go to a junk yard and get a Ford Ranger rear end as they have t loks and 3.73's already.

which is why I asked you if you NEEDED one in the first place...if you're not planning on making serious power and/or using slicks at the track, I would most definitely just get a tlock and better ratio for it

They are everywhere...if you're lookin to get a new one (always a good idea), there are several places online that sell them for a decent price. If you're looking for a used one, try ebay or a v6 mustang site.
