Default Gear

Ok so first off, I drive a 2000 automatic 3.8l. I was just wondering, if at all possible, if I would be able to install a set of gears by myself. If so, what tools would I need. Also, I plan to install a T-Lok while I'm at it. Any feedback would be much appreciated.

If you've never done a gear install before, let a professional do it, that would be my advice.

And welcome to the board.

Well, I've helped my uncle install gears on an old Chevelle. Obviously, I have no idea yet about the stang ... just bought it a few months ago. Thanks for the info though.

Yea, I'll probably save myself the trouble and just have a pro do it. The last thing I want to do is **** it all up haha. Thanks much everyone.

if your uncle can setup gears then why pay someone else to do. Let him do it if really knows how to set the back-lash, end play, etc..
