Default posi and 4.10 gears

hey i want to install a Posi- Traction (Traction Lok) 7.5" Differential and 4.10 gears on my 2002 v6 auto. but is there any way i could get around buying something like the x cal.2 and just get it tunned by a shop or where i get it installed i dont want to pay $380 for a tunner. if so how much would it be for install and how much for the tune?

posi----$190
+ gears-$150
=$340
plus instal=$???

then another 380 just for a tunner?!~doesnt really seem right

thanks

You have to have a tuner I believe. You get one when you go to a dyno or you already have one.

where are u finding a t-lok for 190? the lowest price i've seen new is 250, plus gears and tunner, and install is about 200... so...don't be fooled this is an expensive mod...

You'll need a tuner for any bigger mods down the road, so might as well bite the bullet now and fork over the dough. 379 is a lot of money for a piece of plastic but they are well worth it.

Hey dude, i am in melbourne and i am going to be getting rid of my rearend fairly soon, it is a '94 with 3.73's and a ford tlok, went in less then a year ago with all new seals etc

ya might wanna consiter that because the cost of gears+posi+install is a LOT

lemme know . .

Im thinking of getting the 4.10 setup installed also, and i heard that you only need the flash tuner for the 2000 models and up-is that true? I don't want to waste the money on a tuner if i don't need one for my '94
