Heh this has just been a horrible time for the install, my car has been down for SO LONG, and nothing has gone my way, but its mostly because i dont have the resources to do this project quickley and efficiantly. But it is VERY close to being done, its just a matter of time, now that i am out of school i am working 45-50 hours a week and its just hard to get the time.

but on a brighter note i did send a down payment on my tranny+rearend+Driveshaft

OK, I was driving home this morning and saw a 94-95 teal V6 mustang w/out a spoiler parked in a driveway and got nervous. Is that wrong? I need to work on my car, I don't want to be embarassed.

ahh yea i just stopped into my friends house to check the internet etc, i also needed to load the base tune justin sent me onto the Xcal 2 so i can throw iton my car to start, i still need to change plugs/wires and get a MAF connecter (wrong MAF plug so im going to splice one in)

it wont drive today, but i will start it. Maybe i can borow my friends video camera to take a vid of it starting

Oh and yea i hope it doesnt blow either, but there is no reason why it should as long as i dont do anything stuipid aka go WOT without a dynotune

But hey, stock v6 engines are like 400-500$ everywere, with lowww miles, so its not as bad as blowing a mod motor

you need a mod motor you crazy bastard. At least forged internals. Now, I don't know the stock compression ratio on a V6, but didn't you say something like 14 psi? unless I read something wrong, sounds a little high for my comfort. If you got 4-500 to spend on a new stocker, I guess more power to you (and your car). After tranny/shaft/axel, I'm just wondering what this thing would do with heads, intake, and throttle body. I may be putting my foot in my mouth again, but did you at least get a 70 mm tb?

I am afraid, very afraid.

I have a built tranny + rearend on order and i should have it by the begining of June.

As far as supporting mods to the engine, i have none. No TB, no nothing.

totally stock longblock, exept for deleting anything that has to dow tih the enviroment.

there was a point were i kinda wanted a 4v, 96/97 in paticular but im having fun with the v6.

p.s. stock compression is 9.3:1 and 14psi is a little high, ill run it on 93 with a good tune, but every day ill run ~8psi and when i feel feisty ill be running 14. I even thought about going to 16psi with some C16 gas, but that has yet to be decided

I am not doing anything to the top end untill i forge it out, i want to go with a 4.2/4.3l stroker, then ill do heads/cam/intake

EDIT: about the TB, it doesnt do much for a stock v6, the entrance to the intake manifold is to small for it to matter and small TB's tend to do ok with forced induction anyhow. In the future when the manifold gets done ill have it opened up then ill do a TB

OK, I did a little more reading up first, and I retract my 70mm tb statement. While the stock is effective, you still see considerable gains with a 65mm, and not really any reason to go bigger. Ever.

i wont swap it out untill i get a cut+weld intake manifold so i can have the bigger inlet on the intake.

On other news, i drove it on the streets today, and it is BILLOWING black smoke out the back . . . Im still trying to get everything cleaned up before going to the tune.
