Would I benefit from warming up my summis in the box at a track? or would I be better off just holding off on the warmup?

the benefit you would get would be getting newer ones sooner.
just kick the rocks off a few times.

you need to go around the water and spin them for few secs to get the rocks etc.. off them thats it.
