Default 315's

Sorry if this is a dumb question but after seeing the pictures of 335's on Cobra4Me's project I wanted to find out for sure that 315's are the absolute widest you can go on a 2004 GT. I'm sure it wouldn't be adviseable to remove the quad shocks but would that allow a tire larger than 315? I realize it's excessive to want anything more than a 315 but any input is welcome before I blow my holiday bonus on some new 17x10.5's.

315's are great on a stang. I have only seen a photo of a 335 once on a stang, but I think it would look fine....not sure if it is needed, but heck.

There are a lot more tire options too with 315's.

I love the look of the 315's and had my mind set on them with DD bullits once I could come up with the cash until I saw the 335's, call it a case of tire envy. I'm sure 335's are completely unnecessary but I'll have to find a picture of it before I order anything. I'd like to know for sure that there won't be any rubbing problems before I spend that much. I haven't checked for sure yet but I've read that the cost of 335's vs. 315's is also a huge difference.....

MT's#1Customer!, my parents are in the process of building a house near you. Just west of Hazleton in Eagle Rock, so come spring I plan on being up there often so you'll have to let me know if there are ever any good car shows up there.
