Hey what do you guys know about Cooper Tires? I found a pretty nice deal on em and Im thinking about buying them. If I dont Im just sticking with the Sumi's that AM has on their site for 169 bucks. I dont race, and I dont need "***** to the wall" performance. I am fairly happy with the last set of Sumitomo tires that are still on the car now.

So are Cooper tire at least decent? get decent tread life out of em? Bad on road noise? gimmi what cha got!

 

I had some Cooper ZPT tires on my v6 stang on the 18x9 R500 rims and was happy with them. They lasted me for the entire time I owned the car, 3 years. Had decent traction, but nowhere near the best, but what you'd expect for a ~400 treadwear tire. One reason I went with them is becuase in my hometown we have a Cooper Tire plant, I know several people that work there, so I got an employee discount. My Mom just got some Cooper CS4 tires put on her car and they have been good so far.

 

I had Cooper tires years ago, and they were pretty good. I really think the tread life comes down to how much you really drive your car. I'm getting new rear Sumi's for my car tomorrow which are the same as what is sold through AM as well.

And I drive about 500mi a wk to work and home...gawd I wish I had a 2nd car to drive and leave this sit
