Default question about brakes on 03' Mach 1

Just a quick question, is there a difference between the brake package on a mach 1 & the one one the Cobra's?

why would you change to an identical brake setup? Color? Sorry but this is about the silliest damned thing I've seen since blinker fluid.

ok, first off, lose the 'tude
Your Mach 1 came from the factory with Cobra big brakes, which should include the Cobra master cylinder. Cobra, Special Edition, Mach, Bullitt, all the same kit, just different colors.
Now, to answer the simple stupid DIRECT question, "b/c i already have the 13" in rotors and my calipers are stock, do I need to upgrade the master cylinder or am I good w/ what I have since it said they are direct replacements?"
The answer is NO.....you already have the factory big brake package.
NOW......reading into this as r3dn3ck and i both have, why would you consider swapping out your FACTORY BIG BRAKE KIT for another FACTORY BIG BRAKE KIT?
COLOR?.....that can be changed with the proper high-temp paint.

P.S. If you are inclined to do so, I will gladly buy your original rotors, calipers, and mounting brackets off of you, and pay for shipping, or come get them.
P.P.S. Think before you type, you are a newb to this forum, and should respect others. R3dn3ck is one of the biggest contributors to this forum, but you wouldn't know that seeing as how u joined THIS MONTH.

Just get some paint and a brush and write in "cobra"

viola, you now have cobra brakes!

Wow, awesome idea. Just kidding. It's good to see that some people can post w/o making personal attacks or making fun of someone who's (trying to) getting into the automotive or at least gain some knowledge.

As far as those other reply post I've received. It doesn't matter why i would want to do it, b/c it's my car. And no, i will sell anything.

Why you're willing to spend a thousand dollars, on something you already have, just to have different color calipers, makes no sense to any of us.

It does nothing for performance purposes, and very little for appearance purposes, other then having "COBRA" stamped on your calipers on a Mach 1.

When, if that is what your goal is, you could very easily do it yourself, for maybe 20 bucks.

Maybe the flux capicitor needs to be tuned along w/ the brake system battery? Hmm, maybe that will stop the squealing.....

Unless the calipers r sticking or ****** up their is no need to replace them. If u have just wore rotors and/or brake pads replacing those would get rid of the noise. I don't think most of these guys r tryn 2 b a dick on purpose, just mayb not understand the question. Just 2 make sure I got it right u got brakes that r squealing and want 2 know if its cause ur master cylinder is under sized? If thats right then u don't need a bigger one cause the mach's have the big brake package that includes the master cylinder. U just need to check the pads and rotors.

nobody was REALLY that concerned with the question, but the attitude. R3dn3ck can come off as a little rough sometimes, but thats just how he is.
Stick a fork in this thread, it's done. Lock please!

The reason we came onto him is because right after r3d's first comment he said "That's not the question *** wipe" or something along those lines.

r3d didn't say anything other than that they were the same thing and this guy gets all pissy.

Remind anyone of the recent DREADSAW we just had issues with. Same dickish attitude. All caps SN. Hmmm the pieces seem to fit all too well.

All and all, let this tool spend $1000 on a useless part, then he can look like a fool to everyone else who knows that its the same damn thing as what hes already got.

Agreed with most have said above. Listen to R3d he knows what hes doing, hes a little rough and straightforward, but he knows his stuff. Dont buy the kit unless you literally want to waste around 1000$. Your brakes are the same as in the kit you were looking at, only difference is one is painted and has Cobra written on it. You can do the same with caliper covers or caliper paint. Paint is much much cheaper. Make sure you read through your posts after you type them and make sure they are easily readable, from someone elses view. Take it from me, ive been the common sense fail child here.

I didn't know they were the same either. I didn't care, but I also didn't know. Don't the factory Cobra brakes say cobra or svt on them or something? If that is the case. why not go to the local salvage yard and get some from them and save some green? The yard down the road has a standard warranty of 90-365 days on every part that they sell so the whole "being used" argument makes no sense. Just a thought.

Maybe we should go out and look for brakes that those panzy v6 or gt's use and downgrade to that!

Sigh...if making fun of a cheaper model of the same car you own makes you feel better, hey its whatever man. Also there are many many sixxers and GTs that would blow your mach out of the ****** water.

Why are you still here? Thats a serious question, not rhetorical, or for you to attempt to have a witty comeback. If you drive a Cobra, Mach 1, GT, or V6 it's still a Mustang, just a different trim level. Pretty sure that's what DeathDiesel was getting at.

Guys, I need a vote:

Do I ban.T crazyshitbrick for being a ****-inual ********** and general drama ***** or do I let you guys go all apeshit on him? I do have a responsibility to the little pud to not let y'all mistreat him too much but that only goes as far as his own personal worth which is admittedly questionable to extremely low at this juncture.
