Default Which Tires should I get for my 06 GT?

Hello All,

Was wondering which of these tires are better or please tell me of any other choices. I'm looking for 255's and 18. (EX 255/45/18)

Overall, I want a solid tire for street and capable for snow/rain all elements. A tire with good wear and under $200.

Yokohama S.Drive 255/45/18

BF Goodrich G-force super sport 255/45/18

any others?

Go to tirerack.com and search for your size and snow/winter or all season and good through their ratings and reviews its the best way to find what you want.

When I lived in cold areas that got small amounts of snow and ice I managed to get by with All seasons. The last set I had were Goodyear Eagle F1 All Seasons. Before those I was running Kumho Ecsta All Seasons. I was happy with both of them but I have read a lot of bad reviews about the goodyears not lasting long and having noise issues before 20k miles especially for a tire that is supposed to have 420 treadwear rating.

If I were to do it over again I would have just got some blizzaks for winter driving and nitto 555's for summer use on separate rims.

Why not just stick with the BFG KDWSs that came with your car? You got the 18" wheels right?

Default Hi guys

I actually talked to a few guys at Americas tire and also looked at tire rack. I did like the Yokohama S.Drive. If I want to go snow I'll just borrow my brothers truck. So my drive consists of the bay area (CA) so a good tire that is on the ground. What do you think?

yes 18x9 rims

haha i didnt even realize you were in fremont...i was thinking somewhere in one of the north east states.

I cant believe you would ever want to take a car like that to some place that snows...Tahoe and reno in the winter can be nerve wrecking.
