Question Chrome Clear Coating vs OCD ?

Alright my car is my daily driver and since I drive a good 500mi. per week to work and home I see a lot of road debris in my travels, and since I have had my Chrome FR500 rims installed and I try to keep them as clean as I can, recently I have noticed that they have some black specs on them to the flattened surface of the DD rear rims from where the road particles have layed on there and then rain have set to them before I get to wash the car really good.

1. My question is, do they make some kind of spray I could spray on them to keep this from happening or maybe spray a clear coat over the rims after washing/drying them one good time to keep this from happening and protecting them from these deposits? ( I think I have some clear coat in the shed that mentions could be used to be sprayed on rims/wheels )

2. I just have OCD ( Over Cleaning Disorder ) really badly, and should just understand they are gonna get dirty either way and to deal with it!

All you can do is use a clay bar to get them clean and then coat them in wax to help protect them more.
