Default x-pipe coating

Hey guys tell me what ya think. I might be getting a pypes x-pipe wiht some high flow cats was wondering if I wanted to coat this with a protectant or something to ensure some longevity of the pipe what would I use. High temp powder coat paint?

Leave it the way it is. Its designed to be under your car where all the torment is.

Well the thing is was the new cats were welded in there and my concern is the welds possibly rusting
