98-04 rims on 06
Hey fellas,
Recently a beloved member of our senior driver community took it upon himself to total my 03 Mustang with his car...
Anyway, yesterday I replaced my 03 with 44k miles with an 06 GT convertible with 7k miles!
My question is this... I was able to salvage the wheels from my 03 (Chrome Bullets, 17x9.5 / 17x10s) Is there any way that I can bolt them up to my 06? I am aware that the offset is different but I'm not sure exactly what that means.
Thanks, I'll post some pics of my 06 soon!

I think they're going to be too wide and probably will stick out like some 13" 100 spoke dayton's on the S197.
Sell the Bullitts and pick up some 18's, I never would have said that before I put the GT500 wheels on my Fiance's car, but 18's fit the 05+ cars like a glove and just look perfect..

Thanks guys for the input...
Everyone was okay, somehow.... I was doing like 35 and the other gentlemen decided to make a left turn at his convenience... My airbags didn't go off though which I found a little disturbing...
Anywho...
I will most likely be ebaying the wheels with tires for a good price. I'll be sure to post here when I do so if anyone is interested...

Ummmm....actually those stock wheels will fit. As long as they are anything more than +24mm they will look great. The Shelby Razor's I'm buying are +24mm offset which are suppose to be for 99-04s but actually fit flush with the fender well on 05+. The normal +40mm offset that the stockers are and that the aftermarket bullits are sink in to the fender well.

So here is the info on the wheels that I have...
FRONT
Style: Bullitt
Finish: Chrome
Size: 17x9
Centercap Size: Large (2-1/2")
Back Spacing: 5.94" (151mm)
Offset: +24mm (0.94")
Bolt Pattern: 5x4.5" (5x114.3mm)
Fitment: 94-04 V6, GT, Bullitt,
Mach 1, and Cobra
REAR
Style: Bullitt
Finish: Chrome
Size: 17x10.5
Centercap Size: Large (2-1/2")
Back Spacing: 6.8" (174mm)
Offset: +28mm (1.10")
Bolt Pattern: 5x4.5" (5x114.3mm)
Fitment: 94-04 V6, GT, Bullitt,
Mach 1, and 94-98 Cobra
And the info on the 17x9 wheels for an 05+
Style: Bullitt
Finish: Chrome
Size: 17x9
Centercap Size: Large (2-1/2")
Back Spacing: 6.8" (172mm)
Offset: +45mm (1.8")
Bolt Pattern: 5x4.5" (5x114.3mm)
Fitment: 2005+ V6, GT,
Excludes Shelby GT500
A few things. Currently I have not come across a 17x10.5 DD rear wheels for an '05+. Does this mean that they are too wide? Also, given the information above, will there be a mechanical problem bolting the wheels up (clearance, ect.) or will it simply be a cosmetic differences issue(wheels sticking out from fenders)?
Hell, I may just sell them anyway. The wheels on the car now are 18s, and I like the radius look over the 17s. If only the rears were DD
Thanks for the help guys...

There are no mechanical issues at all with the smaller offset. The reason you don't see many mustangs with 10" or 10.5" in the rear is because people tend to see issues with panhard bars and rear swaybars rubbing against the tire.
Take a look at Godspeed Wheels. I have had a lot of good luck with them before and the tires on there for 05+ look simply stunning. Pricey, but they're close to a forged wheel. They have DD 10.5"s and more for all your purposes.
I'd probably still sell the Bullitts since they're 17". The 05+ look best with 18"-20".
I want to see someone with the DD Godspeed 5 Spoke. They look sick.....
