DR Tire pressure.

DR Tire pressure.
Just curious what everyone recommends for PSI in Drag Radials. Trying to get an idea of what to run on the track, and what's safe for the drive there & back home. I figure probably somewhere between 18-25lbs for the track and probably closer to 30 for the street. What do you guys think?
Hoping to get a chance to run them this weekend.
275/40R17 Hoosier DR's.
PS: No, they don't have the M-fire center caps anymore.. Just got a couple of the blank brushed ones from AM.

With those tires on that rim I would use 25psi on the way there and start with 22psi at and see how they hook and play with the pressure from there. If they are anything like other 17" drags 18-20psi is the sweet rang for most in that size from what I have seen over the years.

Went with the 17/9's because I had two spare FR500's, plus I had no use for anything bigger than a 275.. Anything bigger would have been too much rotating mass & honestly, the 2v isn't putting out enough power to need anything like a full slick a.t.m.
I know, right!? What do you think about the white letters facing out? I think they're gonna look pretty B.A. on the car.

Would have done the same, the lettering looks awesome. Matches your car too.

But what size wheel and tire combo are you running?

They were about $400 shipped from Lethal Performance.

i only run my nittos that low because the sidewalls are stiff as ****...no folding happens with nittos and if you seen a 315/35 its not exactly a rubber band...i blow the tires anyway on launches of 2k rpms sometimes 2500 these ******* dont like to stick best 60ft i got so far was a 1.8.

That 60' is better then alot of people I know who have nitto drags. My best was one 1.89 60' I got with them. Most of the time it was mid 1.9x 60' on 275/40/17's. I also have stock gears and made around 230-235rwhp then so that was not helping the 60' either.

i have progressive springs with MM LCA' Steeda double adjustable UCA's and my pinion angle set at -3. the best i could get with stock **** was 1.9 2.0 on the same tire. maybe i was expecting too much out of the new rear end goods. i still need to get my sub frames welded on my chassis flex is disgusting.
i cant wait to try out the slicks though, mmmm M/T Drags on a 15" rim. these tires better ******* hold with only a 3500 stall i figure if it sticks and i get a 1.6 60ft i may make it to 11's at 114-115.

i have the same tires and love them i run them at 30psi to and from the track, but i drop it down to about 16-15 psi on the track. on a test and tune day i'll experiment on a few different pressues to see what works best. i tried 18, 16, and 14 last time i went, and found 16psi to be the best.
