Default 9.5" wide wheels on an 05 GT

I wanted to put some 9.5" wide wheels on my 05 GT, all around 9.5". Most of the sites that im looking for a wheel say I cant put 9.5" width on the front? I dont see the problem, but I want to make sure before I make a purchase. Can I put a 9.5" wide wheel on the front of an 05 GT?

well i dont think your supposed to be able to put bigger than a 9 inch on the front of our model.. idk man if you like the even wideness look,, id go 9 front 10.5 in back. or something along those lines.. i guess your wanting to be able to rotate tires.. Umm if it wont work then you can always get wheelspacers maybe... i dont know why they wouldnt work personally, cant tell you there.. I do know that my 20's i had rubbed my frame.

9.5" on a stock suspension would be fine. If you take a hard bump it will rub a little bit if you're turning, but they won't rub all the time. I've seen 9.5" all around and they look sweet. On the s197 body style the wider wheels look sick...I'd stick to what you're looking at and just try it out and see how you like it.

Personally I'd want a 9" or 9.5" in the front and 10" in the back, but I understand being able to rotate the tires.

yeah, i live in new england, and even in the summer months, most of the roads i drive on arent in the greatest of shape so rotating is important. the other thing is, the rim im looking at (lorenzo WL19-black) only come's 9.5" (or 8,.5" which i think is just too small). The wheels I have on my 2000 right now are 9.5" all around so I want to stick to it since it worked out so far.

The other rim i was looking at is the RPM R-505. Its a pretty sick wheel, im going with a black rim, so if you guys know any really sick black 20's defintely post, but these are the two im most likely going with.

I'm with you on the 8.5" they look really stupid on our body style IMO. I'd stick to the 9.5" like you are. If you like the look of the Lorenzo's I'd check out some black Shelby Razors too. To me those are the sickest looking wheels on a Mustang. I like the Lorenzo's a lot though. I'd look around on some other forums maybe and see what you can find. For a Mustang i think the five-star/six-star wheels look best.

The whole reason I haven't bought any different wheels is because I can't decide what to get....

That's what I'd like to do, but he wants to be able to rotate. So that's a dud....

the reason I cant go 10.5" in the back...I cant find a 20" wheel that has a 10.5" width. The largest I can find is a 10" width, but I really want these Lorenzo WL19's, which have the largest width of 9.5", which then I can still go to a 285 tire, which is decently large.

I'd probably stick with the 9.5". It'll be big enough especially wit the 285 tire on there. How long until you get it? Or are you still trying to decide?

I got the money, I'm just waiting a few weeks, because im looking at lowering the car an 1.5" before I get the wheels. and yes, im still pondering on what wheel, but definately leaning towards the lorenzo wl19's! theyre some sick wheels.
