Default 20' inch wheels on my 02 stang. OPINIONS NEEDED!

Those rims are 20x7.5, skinny i know, and it sucks becuz i cant find better from my sucky tire/wheel place around here, i shouldve ebay'd some nice krager or whatever in 20's. But thats my car, tell me any opinions or things i should do to it! If it looks bad tell me ur opinions and what i should do to fix things. Thanks!

In my opinion either 17 or 18" rims MAX on a pre 05+ stangs.

well i wanted to get 20's becuz i hate how most mustangs have a HUGE gap like a monster truck, turns out this kinda helped, but everyone calls me monster mustang becuz my roof is even with s10's.

To be honest they don't look that bad for 20" rims, but for me personally I would never go over 18". The rims on your car at least look like a mustang style rim. It's all about what you like though, it's your ride.

I would have gotten 17 or 18's with a nice beefy tire and then just lowered it to get rid of the wheel well gap. I like the tailight tint and the trunk lid though

The gap can be fixed by lowering springs

i see, my next car wont be a sixer lol, even thou mine sounds kinda good, when i see a gt, i kinda look away n stuff, even though i think mines prettier than stock mustangs that run my town, but yeah ill never go 20's again, i paid 225 a rim and 125 a tire for that setup 255/35. it was a good deal but i later realized my mach 1 rims were 17x9's and they made my old 245 45's alot wider than these.

Thoes might be nice rims if they were 18s. I think 20s are too big for a Mustang, 05+ can pull it off, but not 99-04.

Just a touch too big for the body, bro. I'd go back to wider 18's.

we should have a sticky thread for wheel sizes.
17 or 18" on pre 05+
20" OK on 05+

Maybe we could get rid of these riff-raff threads that way

Go with an 18x9 rim FIRST and formost! then get ya some Eibach pro springs and settle that body right down over those wheels and then you got a stang with awsome handeling and a killer stance! I am running that same set up and am perfectly happy with everything.

With those 20s your seriously scerwing with ALL performance of your car. The wheels are so big it takes MORE power to turn em over (slower car plus more gas too) then they weigh so much it takes too much to stop them things from rolling. AND the main thing peeps never think of when doing big wheels is... In emergency manuvering, or loss of controll (think hydroplane, or a schmoe pulls out in front of you) ... Your car as it is sits SO high you are MORE likely to roll over just like an SUV. Even if you never have an emergency come up.... who wants a mustang that doesnt perform? I would be scared as hell to drive a new edge stang on 20s.

yeah, i seen some springs on ebay, they are like adjustable to 4 inch drop, they are 125 plus shipping, and i think its like a too good to be true thing and i was scared they would work but possibly fail later. i also seen drop zone springs they seemed of more quality, but i want a drop on mine becuz its raised up like a truck. and true, it makes me v6 as good as a 4cyl lol, but i can go 100 at 2900rpm lol i swear!

anything bigger then 18 inch, is made for trucks or suv's.
05+ mustangs fall under the 18 and under rim size......i have yet to see ANY mustang with 20s that ive liked.

18 x 9's and 2 inch drop. This is how it looked last year. 20's is a bit much.
