Default Browsing for new Rims

Thanks in Advance

I know rims are all about personal taste. But I got these two in mind.

My Tire Size now are p 255/55r16, and I really don't won't new tires since I just bought new ones.

Will either of these rims fit my Mustang.
I don't know to much about Cars but looking to learn.

personally i think the chrome bullits are to much chrome i say go with the 95 cobra R style rims. Thats what i have. Your car looks just like my car when it was stock minus the moon roof.

Its so worth it. Better gas milage and i actually noticed a gain in HP not much but still a difference.

you said you have 255/55/16 tires and that you dont want to get rid of them. sounds like you are wanting to install your 255/55/16's on some new rims? just making sure you noticed that those rims you posted about are 17's.

He's got enough sidewall to fill up the wheel well ok, better if he's lowered. but because of that high sidewall it would look just fine I think. 17's are just right though...I'd keep saving my $$ and keep the rims you have now and wait till you can buy 17's and tires.

Yeah I was just thinking that when I was talking to my bud. Where I got my tires from now I just got them a couple weeks ago. My dad said he may be able to swap them out b/c my dad knows the guy real well for some 17's.

Looks like I need
275 40 17

if the rims are 17x9. if they are 17x8 I'd use a 255/40/17.

As Zig said you might wanna wait to get the 17's. You'll be happier you did.

yes, lower it. It will look more of a 4x4 stance with the 17's. I went from 16's to 17's and the fender gap looked way worse with the 17's than it did with the 16's.

im looking at 18X9 of the cobras in chrome, is 18's too much? my car is silver and there is a pic of a silver mustang with the exact rims on it. im just concered about the ride quality. they say 18 is the peak for performance, is that true?

the larger the rim though technically the slower you are. Either 17's or 18's though doesn't really matter. Only thing that differs is the price of the tire for the most part

Handling improves to an extent with larger wheels though, right? larger wheel, less side wall for tire, not as much movement in the tire when cornering...makes sense to me anyway. lol

i saw a car like yours that was dropped with those same stock wheels and it looked pretty badass. they looked bigger with the drop for some reason.

HAHA,

and Bullitt wheels are puh-layed the fawk out. mine are reserved for snow duty.

I always though Ford should have offered more wheel choices from the factory.
