sumitomos are cheap tires...I use them cause of that. but they dont grip well, there is nothing you can go about it except buy grippier tires.

okay, well the price was not bad. $420 to have them shipped, mounted balanced, hazard warranty, and free life time balance and rotation... so i am happy... only about $50 more than buying them off tirerack and getting mounted and balanced at school

Hell man i dunno, I got Sumi HRZ's and in the summer time with 80+ temp when the streets are nice and hot they grip like nobodys business, i cant get em to chirp at all.

in the fall winder and early spring they just break loose like no tomorrow, however they just kinda of make a raspy noise as they spin, no real "screeetch"

THen again, yer in texas. how hot is is out there? they really do thier best with 80+

Jack, when I was in Atlanta, during those summers..90-100 degrees...both sets of my Sumis didnt grip for ****. moderate 2nd gear shift produced chirpage. I really think im gonna buck up for some 'spensive grippy tires.

recently its been mid 60's to high 70's nice enough to drop the top!! except for the wind!!.. but its a weird sound its more of a really low deep chirp.. but better than my last pair of tires, i would spin those on 3/4 throttle, and my exhaust was louder then they were so i went through em really fast, because i didn't know when they were spinning until i drop top down no wind no radio, wall on both sides, i heard a little chirp

yeah im totally serious. I'd be willing to bet my car puts out a tad more than yours does, not counting the tranny differences. plus I have a KC clutch (bites harder)...and metal bushing RLCA's...I think those help the transfer of power. I dunno...yeah your alt. eats your HP for sure though.
