What size wheels will fit an 01 stock tire?

Default What size wheels will fit an 01 stock tire?

so first off let me start this off and so i do not know much about cars.
anyway, i want to buy these wheels: http://www.americanmuscle.com/17x8-bullitt-black.html

what size are stock rims on a 01 v6 convertible? this is the only pic i have sorry. will i have to buy new tires or will it be ok to just have them take out the stock wheels and put those in? thanks

the stock rim size is 8". Your buying an 8" rim which doesnt change anything so you can take the same tires off your car now and put them on the rims your buying. But i know of people putting a 275 on the 8" rim.

Stock wheel size is 16x7 not 8".

Smallest i would go is a 245/45/17 all the way around. You can up the size and go 255/45/17 all the way around and you can go 275/40/17 out back if you want thats max.

If you dont know how the tire size works the first number is the width of the tire in mm. The middile is the hight of the sidewall and the last is the size of the rim it fits on.

The more tire the more traction and better handling and braking you get (to a point). So for you i would go 255s personally all the way around.
