i have a 04' gt and i was wondering if anyone knows how wide a tire i can fit on the stock rims. It has 245/45r17 on it now, and i dont know if i can go any wider. i dont know if i can even go wider or if its only one size per rim. any help would be great

For the front a 255 would be the widest for the rear you can do 275's ive been rocking 275s out back since i got my car. I would not do it up forn though as they would make steering feel sloshy, but outback there great for some more traction and the look.

I'd stop at a 255/40/17 front and back. Sidewall strength is comprimised with any wider a tire. Spike seems to have yet to blow a sidewall but he's an edge case. 275's belong on 9" rims..
