245 tires

for a friend ... would a 17x8 or 17x9 wheel fit a 245 tire best? i think that he has 9's on it now but not sure, looks like the wheel could fit a bigger tire

well, our stock rims are 17x8 and they come with 245 and it is a good match, but you can apparently go all the way up to 275 on the eights... so I would imagine that 245s look kinda dinky on a 9 incher...

245's will fit but you might as well jump up to the 275's to fill out the rim

just swapped out my last 2 245's. I have 9" 95R rims and 245's sucked on them. Everything is much better now with 275's all the way around. 275/40/17 is just right for a 9"x17" rim. 245's are best left to 8".
