Default Someone Clarify this

Alright i'm getting mixed opinions and I need facts and some real experiences from some of you guys. I know you can put a 275/40/17 Drag radial on our stock rims and be fine. But can you take a 275/40/17 STREET tire on the stock rims for the rear? I have heard the cons of doing this but have never heard anyone having a problem with it.

I know you can. I have a feeling you might need to be more cautious on tire pressure throughout the miles of the tires. With that much buldging I'm sure you're much more suceptable to completely losing the tire off the rim.

if you run a 275/40/17 on a 17x8 stock wheel, use 22-25psi and they will wear pretty evenly. Trust me i know

And i bought another set of nitto drags esien, i said **** it i love my nittos. Even though i dont race as much anymore.

I had 275/40/17 on my actory Bullitt wheels. Now I have 18 X 9 in front and 18 X 10 Saleen replicas. The tires are 265/35 in the front and 295/35 in the rear. Here's a pic of my older setup with the 275s.
