fitment
So I got my 315/35/17 and 275/40/17 Sumitomo's yesterday and was looking at my car this afternoon at work. I had the car up on my alignment rack and was looking at the amount of tire room under the front and rear. I have 225/55/16's on there now and it looks like the 315's arent gonna fit cause they are soo freakin wide. The 275's for the front look as if they will rub like mad when turning. Who's got this setup? Stock suspension with 17/10.5 and 17/9 with those tire sizes? any rubs? and problems at all? It just looks like it's all gonna be too big to stay under the fenders at the top and also clear the exhaust. I am probably wrong and just worried about it, but i had to ask. Thanks.

Have the exact same set up in my '03 (except my fronts are 17 x 8) My car is lowered 1.5 in the front and 1.7 in the rear with Eibachs and I have zero clearance issues. Could even probably push the rears to 335s and not have problems. It is all actually a perfect fit. I am looking to probably go with the 17 x 9s soon too. You shouldn't have any rubbing issues or turning issues. The only problems you'll have with the 275s are train tracking (catching one of those sh**y grooves on the road and feeling yor car pull to the side). It happens with all tires, but it is just a lot more tire to clear from that groove. Other than that they are sick when it comes to gripping the road!

Thanks for the reply Interceptor and Stan...I feel a bit better about it...really I am excited as all hell and can't wait to mount and balance them and get them on!! I'm gonna give them the true "ZERO" balance...roadforce and all...gotta love the GSP9700 for that!
Stan, how much rub is a little rub? What kind of damage occurs?
