Rear Sway Bar

Rear Sway Bar
My 1998 GT did not come with a rear sway bar, I believe that the cobras had larger diameter rear sway bars.
Does anyone know where I could get a stock rear cobra sway bar?

I saw this, but i thought the cobra had a larger diameter than 25mm

Your car should have a rear sway bar. All GT's come with them from what 79+ on? Regardless if your missing it I would just invest in a better larger one from any one of the aftermarket suspension companies.

I have maximum motorsports lower control arms, can you recommend an aftermarket rear sway bar?

Did you install the control arms? Because if you bought the car second hand and the LCAs were already installed I can completely see the previous owner removing the sway bar for some reason, possibly for suspension tuning, or it broke. A rear sway bar will help eliminate some understeer, which is what most Mustangs need badly. I would look for a cobra sway bar aswell.

Steeda: http://www.steeda.com/products/hd_rear_sway_bar.php
Hotchkis (they only sell front and rear together) :http://www.jegs.com/p/Hotchkis/Hotch...94133/10002/-1
Eibach: http://www.maximummotorsports.com/in...n_page=install
MM: http://www.maximummotorsports.com/in...n_page=install
I think the Steeda one is a good compromise between price and better then stock performance. Unless you can find a cobra in a junkyard and grab one off that.

I was looking at this guy right here

figured cobra rear sway bar was larger than 25mm.
Since my car did not have one, i figure this is better than nothing, and its OE - replacement

I picked one up from the junkyard for my 94 GT for 20 bucks. The replacement came from a wrecked 94 GT and measured 24mm. The one on my 96 GT measures 25mm and the one on my 95 V6 measures 21mm, just for reference. I have seen stock replacement Cobra sway bars listed as 25mm so it would seem that is the largest stock sway bar available for these SN-95s.
