Default bilsteins

well this is kind of a weird question
My bilsteins got delivered today.

I opened them up and checked them out, and it looks like there are indentations, almost like it was resting on something. The blue part of the shock seems to have a crease, or dent in the rubber-plastic material.

Has anyone else had this experience?

I plan on calling American muscle tomorrow just to double check, its just a pain to think i spent all this money and have a defective product.

Thanks
ill try and get some pics up

Your description puzzled me. But maybe the illustrations here can help?

in the pictures you can see the indentations, almost like it was resting on something during shipping

I was able to compress the blue part by hand, and pop out the indentations with my finger

its not perfect but i think ill be fine

Those are just the rubber dust boots. Its doesn't really matter if they have a indent in them. All you have to do is push them back out like you did.

You could pull them off to check the strut shaft just to make sure, but yeah, anything wrong with the dust boot doesn't affect the performance of the strut.
