Default D-spec vs Bilstein HD

Looking for two struts for the front, from MM I can buy two D-specs for $382 shipped, or go through stangmods and get two Bilstein HD's for $380 shipped. Is the adjustability of the D-specs worth it?

For you, I'd recommend the Bilsteins. Both have good quality and reliability. The D-specs will hold up to higher spring rates, but nothing that your going to see, and have a wide range of adjustment, that you'll never need. For a DD, with average spring rates bilsteins are the way to go. They have a nice monotube design that is usually better because it wont degrade the fluid as quickly. Also they can be services and upgraded with different internal valves for higher spring rates if you ever drop a set (j/k) or grow a money tree and start racing. If it were me I'd pick the D-specs but for reasons specific for my needs. I run a high spring rate, need adjuability and my coilovers are made for Tokico/Koni struts.

not really... I'd take the bilsteins. They're easier to live with and they self adjust to a point. I'd contact MM and get one of their custom valved sets.

Supersports are only about a 200lb. wheel rate, whereas a 350lb. coilover spring, which is at the lower level of a race (open track, autocross) oriented car, has a 315lb. wheel rate. A real race car has wheel rates that are multiples of that. So no Supersports arn't really a high spring rate.
