Default So vwut should I do

The stock shocks/struts seem to have met their end after running H&R super sports for over a year. I want to replace them but I do not want to get rid of my STB for new C/C plates, the STB allows for about a 1.5 inches or so of lateral adjustment of the struts, is that good enough?

And would the Eibach prokit be alright with OEM struts? If it is and if it's cheaper to just go to Autozone or something and buy OEM spec stuff there I'll just do that, but if not I'll probably buy Tokico blues. I also might consider finding someone who wants to trade me their Eibach/UPR Pro-kit for my H&R super sports, since I know the Tokico blues aren't enough for SS's

Why can't you just get some dampers that are suited for the supersports? I assume you have a the car aligned correctly with the springs, unless you've been running without and alignment for a year. So if the car is in alignment with the supersports and stock C/C plates then you don't need new C/C plates, just dampers. Find some Tokico Illuminas on Ebay for around $380 shipped to your door, install, get a new alignment, your done. I don't know why you would want new springs if you like the stance you have now, because you will still need to upgrade the dampers.

I'm not seeing where you are finding illuminas for under $400? All I see on ebay is $500, the idea is to do this without breaking the bank since I'm not keeping the car, However I'm not putting it back to stock height because it looks terrible. My car was in alignment with the stock c/c plates but I replaced those when I put the STB in (It takes the place of the C/C plates, has adjustment room), so I'm not sure if it still is.

If I can get Illuminas for under $400, and have the car able to be aligned with the current C/C setup I'll be happy

Wow, I couldn't find any either. I got some off Ebay for $430 and then Sean got his from the same seller for $380, now the same seller has them listed for $515. If I were you I would still try to just find a good set of dampers. Bilsteins and Illuminas are probably going to be the best bets. I would not switch out springs just because you would still need dampers.

Damn wtf the prices have gone up for the Illuminas. 4 months ago I picked them up for $380 shipped, now the cheapest I found was $445 shipped. Not sure how long you can wait, but you may find better deals in time. Might wanna check out how much oem replacements are for the hell of it, won't be keeping the car anyways. Keep your damn springs when you sell the car lol, who gives a **** if it rides high if you no longer own it.

Illuminas for $445 shipped: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/94-04...ht_1294wt_1028

HP Blues for $287 shipped: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TOKIC...ht_2772wt_1028

I got a set of Mach 1 take off shocks/struts from stangmods awhile back for like 330.

Try and find a wrecked one or go to your ford parts department. They should be under 400.

Well the HP blues are a good price, hell I could buy those AND springs and be at the price of Illuminas, I may just do that, and keep the supersports for the next car

Now I'm just wondering if they'll be able to align it..

Incase they need more room than the holes in the STB offer

Dude don't buy **** to leave on your car when you sell it. No point in getting new springs to leave on it, just pull your supersports and put the stockers back in come time to sell.

You don't think replacement OEM spec struts will blow with the SS's before I sell it? lol

That's why when doing suspension you wait until you have enough to do the whole setup correctly the first time

I'd just get what you didn't get at first, keep the same springs and then when you sell return it to stock and you have your suspension done for your next car already
