Default lowering the v6

i have a couple questions about lowering my v6. first off...are the stock gt's already lower than the stock v6's? that doesnt really make any difference i was just curious

anyway in comparison with other mustangs i see mine seems to be considerably higher than the others...i doubt that every mustang in biloxi has been lowered...so what could be the deal with mine? i'll attach a picture so you can see hopefully what im talking about. finally, how much would yall advise me to lower her? the ford racing springs on here say that they lower it about an inch all around...will that make a noticeable difference?

Ur car would look great lowered. I want to lower mine but I'm afraid the 20's will rub. I have 20 x 10s in the rear. But ur car would really look great lowered.

Nah, your car's normal for a sixxer.

H&R SS springs FTW.

Before you go and buy springs people throw at you, what do you want from the car? Do you just want to lower it and keep a nice ride or really get stiff springs so it handles very good but rides like a rock. These are choices you need to make up front. You cant have a lowered car that rides smooth like stock and handles great one of them has to go. Unless we talk air bags, but that's a different deal.

Also wrong section, moving to suspension talk.....

well...i guess im looking for it to ride smoother over improved handling...it handles just fine stock and i really dont drive all that aggressively anyway

I had a post in here earlier that agreed with Evans suggestion of H&R SSs which I believe look great. But for ride quality without sacrificing much ride quality I've heard that the Steeda Super Sports ride smooth.

If you do not want it to ride harder you do not want H&R springs. Something like the Ford racing C springs or even the F springs would be good for a nice drop and keep a good ride.

it also looks like you've got 16s on that thing, cuz thats what i had and mine looked similar. get some 17s or 18s, and it'll look better. try searching for used bullits to give it a classic mustang look.

I very rarely recommend bullitts anymore because EVERYONE has them. But do whatever looks good to you. Afterall, it's still your car.

i have 17inch mach 1's 245 45 tires.. and mine sets alot lower than others. Weird.. I have seen some 4x4 mustangs.. and mine used to be one with the 20's i had on it.. and im against large wheels.. i want me a nice set of weld racing wheels.. also i cant lower my car,, i live in a rough area.. another thing is im not sure about Caster/Camber plates. Becuz my friend lowerd his truck and just put springs in it but it was a POS so idt he cared about tire wear. So someone needs to put input on drops and then drops that require CC plates to keep alignment good.. Hope that helps.
