My last car was the 35th Anniversary Camaro. I actually loved that thing, but only drawback was that is was a 6 banger. I would of love to have an SS or a Z28 though. I still like Camaro's, they can rape most cars on the road stock for stock.

Actually going from my camaro to my mustang I felt the Mustang didn't have enough room as I was use to. Seats didn't recline back as far as the Camaro. Back seat were different though cuz there's bucket seats in the rear of the camaro. But without a doubt my Camaro had more room for me than my stang.

Stock for Stock an EVO VIII or EVO IX would blow you away. AWD, DOHC 16 Valve, 6-Speed Tranny, (Evo VIII: 271 hp at 6500 rpm and 273 lb-ft at only 3500 rpm) (Evo IX 286 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 289 foot-pounds of torque at a very low 3,500 rpm), suspension consists of MacPherson struts with inverted Bilstein shock absorbers up front and a multilink setup in the rear, only 3,285 LB

Face it man, that car would blow even you away. Its no ricer, its a Lightweight Turboed 4-Cyl Monster.
I have a few things to say about this.
1.) Never use that term again (Lightweight Turboed 4-Cyl Monster) unless you're talking about an SVO.
2.) Like the SRT-4, it's still a grocery-getter with a bunch of crap put in it, it'll never measure up to a pony car at the track or the strip (stick the same crap on a mustang and it'll kill im). Therefore it'll never be as cool.
3.) I beat one today in a race

I have a Z28 and I love it. I can assure you that the car is not gay. Of course I also love mustangs. I just love muscle...American muscle. The SRT-4 is not muscle by any means. I agree with fallstar, it is a grocery getter. One of my best friends drives a sweet foxbody, so please don't think I am here to start any fights. I am just here to socialize with other car guys. I would have even bought a Cobra myself, but I had a deal with my wife. She had a 02 Honda Civic which I hated. She said that if I could find another car with a payment no more than her Honda then I could get it. So I found my Z. I hope I never have to get rid of it, but I would love to add an 03-04 Cobra to the garage in the next year or two. As fast as the Evos are, I just could not drive one. I have fallen in love with the rumble of 8 cylinders.

Just go to LS1.com, LS2.com, and LS1tech.com. There are plenty of Mustang owners on those forums. Some of them come in and start saying how Camaros suck, and are slow, and all that crap. But those who are there to talk cars are welcomed. As a matter of fact, before LS1.com went down for restructuring we had a category for Fords.

Thanks MTS...I do like mustangs a lot. I can respect their power. And I would like to learn more about them because I may very well own one in the future. I'm just here to chat, just like you guys. Maybe I can't talk from personal experience, but maybe I can offer some input as an outsider.

Are they really cheaper to build? I was checking out this website for prices and priced things such as X pipe, catback, pulley, springs, chip, deep dish wheels, headligts...pretty much everything for a 03-04 Cobra and I only came up with about $3,500. I developed a 2 year plan for my car including cam, heads, LTs, ORY, catback, gears, etc. and it was almost 10k. We may have to make that a 5 year plan. I am pretty new to muscle cars all together. I have had my car for about a year now. I bought it from Morrison Motor Company in Concord,N.C. They have some pretty nice Mustangs including a 351S Saleen.

I have heard rumors of the 427 LS7 in SOME of the new SS's. Most of them will have the 400hp LS2 (according to Chevy). I'll believe it when I see it. There aren't too many people that believe that there will be a new Camaro at all. The original design looks pretty good. If they don't ever follow through with it then I will probably get a Mustang next...but not the new body style. As I mentioned in an earlier post I really like the 03-04 Cobras.

^ You might be thinking of the corvette. I read in a magazine about one racing on nurburgring in germany and everyone who heard it said the sound HAD to be coming from a supercharger. So they said if its the z06 SC'ed, then count on it being 600hp and around 100k.

I know that the 98-02 (not exactly sure what years they made them) ZL1 Camaros are selling for 80-100k. They are pretty hard to come by. Any of the GMMG F bodies are fairly expensive. It would be cool to own one, but probably more worth it to do the work yourself. I just heard at lunch today that they are considering calling the SCed Z06 the "King Kong". Not real sure why though. At one point they were considering "Corvette SS" and "Blue Devil". A few weeks ago we had a car show, and a guy brought a 2003 twin turbo Z06 that dynoed just shy of 900rwhp. Those things can make awesome hp.
