you know you really are a stupid fuck lemme tell you why. you come on here saying that you have to sell your mach because it impractical and you cant use it in this weather and so on. Well just how long have you lived in that area??? If i remember correctly this isnt your first stang, so you mean to tell me that you are so fucken stupid that you didnt learn the first time that rwd cars are hard to drive in shitty weather, you went out and got another one. One with more hp that would essentially make it even harder to keep traction in your area, and now you end up selling it anyway. Thats fucken stupid. Now go down stairs and have mommy make you some breakfast lol

Somebodies panties are in a wad this morning. Yes Kings a faggot because he was stating how impractical it is to have a Mach 1 in the snow. Chill out. There's a reason people don't buy car's as an investment..... Cause it's not one. The fact they lose value the second you drive it off the lot should tell you right there. You gotta have something very special to be worth anything. Sure you can do a lot to a mustang, but turning it into a 4x4 is not one of them.

Awhile. But if you're looking for a tour guide I'd talk to someone else.

RWDs are hardly hard to drive in bad weather. V6 is manageable, V8 is not happening. And I'm not just selling the car because of weather, dumbass. I'm upside down on my loan. Read a little, would you?

Ha Figured this was coming once i read his comments. lol

Good luck on the sale King. you gotta do what you gotta do.

the gillz 01-07-2010 09:30 AM

you just said
"RWDs around here (CO) are impractical. Don't believe me? Well, today it snowed a total of maybe 3 1/2'' and I took the mustang to work which is about 3 miles away from my house. When I left work at 6pm I could not get out of the parking lot (it wouldn't even move more than 2ft) and had to call a friend to pick me up in their pickup. And if someone thinks that I just don't know how to drive in the snow, then they can take their mustang up here and we'll see who gets further."

now you are saying

RWDs are hardly hard to drive in bad weather

wtf :blah:

the gillz 01-07-2010 09:34 AM

yeah i did read the thread where the fuck does it say you were upside down you posted this

"Go ahead, slap me in the face. It'd be less painful than a 7yr car payment.
This is not a practical car to be my DD in Colorado. It's a fun as hell summer car here, but it deserves to be with someone who can drive it all of the time. I need a 4x4."

this doesnt insinuate being upside down on a loan

the gillz 01-07-2010 09:40 AM

bottom line you shouldve thought about all that before you bought it dumbass :smokin:

Import POSs????

thats retarded. ALL import trucks sold in the US last longer and break down less than american trucks.

Oh boy... Come on Dave. That's a massive overstatement and even you know it.

doobie 01-07-2010 12:23 PM

on the RWD in snow argument, i do it every year. granted my car is v6, low gears should be used. just because its a v8 shouldnt render it useless. however, if you're not running snow tires, it probably has zero grip.

its snowing heavily right now (more than 3.5") and i'll be driving in it. i drove 30mi to work today in probably 2" of snow and it will likely be worse on the way home.

Gillz and King are gay lovers, so much tension between them

krenogin 01-07-2010 01:04 PM

I got SUMITOMO HTRz's BALD on my front right now, and new sumitomo HTR+'s on the back and i can manage snow. i know if that machs gonna sell for 16k its gotta have good tires on it. ESPECIALLY all seasons considering where you live. BUT i wouldnt have a mach as a DD, it would sit in my garage till clean warm days. If it was a GT id say screw it, dime a dozen. main point, snow is a problem here in KY, its mountainous, and NEVER flat. I have to climb hills that people would shit bricks on.

Sounds like someone wants a medal.

Why would we shit bricks? I want to see a picture of these hills you have to climb all time.

really? Its a fact, not an overstatement.

All toyotas outlast all fords, chevys and dodges

All nissans do the same

honda doesnt make a truck...

I like american cars as much as the next guy, but jap crap outlasts american crap by far.

Alright, I'm not going to argue with you on this one. You're wrong, but there will be no proving that no matter what is said or shown.

I know guys with little 4cyl Rangers that have beat the f'ing tar out of them and they just keep coming back for more, no different than one of your little 'yota's.

PS. Honda does make a truck, it's just on a Mini-van chassis.... LOL

Don't even bother... I don't live terribly far from him and it very rarely ever snows around here. The only thing that Kentucky/Tennessee usually has to worry about is ice, and that isn't really all that big of a deal anymore either. It snowed here today...... Everyone was freaking out... Didn't even get 1.5" on the ground.. It's almost all melted now...

Im not wrong at all bro.

you named the single most reliable american truck on the market... the ranger... oh...wait...what did you say made it reliable? ...hmm...it kept going and going... guess who made that 4cyl motor...NOT ford. The heart of your Ranger example is japanese.

and PS...a honda ridgeline is NOT a truck.

There is no question that a toyota will out last ANY of the big three's trucks. I can replace Toyota with Nissan and it works out the same.

Im not saying any of this because I have a toyota...its just true.

Black Sunshine 01-07-2010 01:44 PM

Sucks that you're going to get rid of the Mach, Nick, but you gotta do what you gotta do. All I can hope is that it goes to a good home where someone will love it and take care of it like you did.

I guess it all depends on how you look at longevity.. How much work can a little 4cyl Toyota/Nissan really do? How much can it haul? I mean, yeah it can run for 400,000 miles, but is that all it can do? Even the larger V6 imports have their limitations.

Americans have and will always be convinced that bigger, louder, stronger is better and you have to expect a bigger, harder working engine is probably not going to last as long as a smaller, lighter and overall less powerful package.

Imports got the longevity part right by putting light engines in light body & frame packages that produced less stress on the drivetrain. But now.... What about the V8 Titans? Or any of the new V8 models produced by the import auto makers? They have just as many if not more problems than any American V8 ever has.

As far as I'm concerned, when it comes to a full Size truck that's meant to work I'll take a Ford anyday over any import. Period.

Now for a light duty, small pickup.. I'd probably go with a Toyota or something similar (Like a Ranger.)

Ok, so, how about this. Go on autotrader, list up all trucks, all makes, etc..

then change the filter so it displays the cars/trucks with the highest mileage.

I did this, within 500 miles of my home, all trucks, all makes, models, years, etc, placed highest mileage first.

1) 2000 Ford F350, 397,000 miles
2) 2003 Dodge Ram = 364,000 miles
3) 1999 toyota tacoma, 320,000 miles
4) 2000 ford F350 319,000 miles
5) 1999 ford F350 307,000 miles
6) 1998 dodge ram, 307,702 miles
7) 1986 Chevrolet Silverado 300,000 miles
8) 1999 Ford F350 296,000 miles
9) 1995 ford F250, 291,000 miles
10) 1999 ford F150 285,000 miles

so.... we have one toyota, and 6 fords, 2 dodges, and one chevy.

i dunno man, your statement doesent seem to hold up very well.

lets go a bit further so we can find more imports

11) 1997 chevy cilverado 284k
12) 1986 nissan pickup, 279k
13) ford f350, 279k
14) chevy silverado, 275k
15) ford F250 274k
16) ford f250 273k
17) Ford F250 267k
18) chevy silverado 264k
19) chevy silverado 262k
20) Ford F350 259k miles.

huh... thats wierd... looks like all the running trucks with real high mileage are domestic trucks from the big 3, outnumbering toyota and nissan 19 to 1.

:D

put that in your toyota and smoke it.

:t:

EDIT: Ya know, it really does take a while before you start finding imports, i kept searching down, out of 50 trucks over 200,000 miles, 3-4 were imports, the rest are domestic.

what happened to all the super reliable imports? .. oh yah, they got junked at 163,000 miles.

HAHAHAHAHA

HAHAHAHAHA

You can't really use this as a basis for your example though. Just because the imports with high mileage aren't up for sale, doesn't mean they aren't still running hence why the owner doesn't want to give it up. Hence why you don't see them on autotrader. American cars get a bad rap, but I think a lot of the reliability comes down to the person who takes care of the car. My uncle has a 99 F150 with over 300,000 miles on it and hasn't had to do any major repairs. He changes the oil on time and that's about it. I've seen imports last a long time and not last that long. Same for american.

I bought my car used with about 60,000 miles on it. It has 135,000 now and runs strong. I've replaced the battery and spark plugs and that's it. Oh and brakes, but that was an upgrade. I do my oil change every 3000ish miles and she keeps on going.
