King's for sale thread comment thread

King, you asked for a separate thread be made if anyone has comments about your for sale thread.. so here it is.

__________________________________________________ ___________________________

You pansy ass fool, I cant believe you are selling that beautiful and rare Mach 1.

We ought to all collectively smack you in the face for this one. just FYI.

King 01-05-2010 10:25 PM

Haha, thanks Dave. I didn't expect anyone to actually make a thread. It was more just a comment to keep O/T'ers out of there.

EDIT: I just noticed the actual comment.

Go ahead, slap me in the face. It'd be less painful than a 7yr car payment.
This is not a practical car to be my DD in Colorado. It's a fun as hell summer car here, but it deserves to be with someone who can drive it all of the time. I need a 4x4.

Must See 01-05-2010 10:26 PM

you sold your mustang as well... Dont think you have room to talk lol

PureStang 01-05-2010 10:34 PM

zig sold his car because he did not want a mustang anymore.

good luck with the sale king. stay around k?. my mustang is staying with me for the rest of my life def. sucks to see people putting themselves in these kind of situaitions...most of them are great people like you king...gotta do what you gotta do huh?

King 01-05-2010 10:37 PM

Yessir, and regardless I do plan on sticking around. Probably not much more active than I have been lately but I'll stick around for sure.

It was technically a 6 year payment, but is might as well be a 7 year payment at that point.

krazypony 01-06-2010 10:04 AM

How many more years you have to pay on your car now? Thats insane!

I told my wife my car will be one I keep for a long long long time...like some of the old farts you see at car shows with there classics! Cause she asked me if I was getting tired of it yet or not around xmas from some conversation we were having or something...and I told her...not a chance!

the gillz 01-06-2010 11:55 AM

keeping it could be an investment. I mean imagine what it might fetch on an auto auction like mecum or something later on down the road, granted it isnt stock anymore tho so im not sure how that affects the value of it. :dunno: dont do man, if you end up posting pics later on of a new maro imma havta slap someone yo

the gillz 01-06-2010 11:59 AM

mine is only a sixer but you can do anything to these cars, there are numerous setups that can be done as long as you have a body to work with. So unless mine gets stolen or totalled im keeping my shit too. Its a platform to start from at least, and shes been pretty good to me thus far, i mean the way i rag this shit out sometimes, any other car wouldve blew up already or fallen apart. I think ford knows pretty much how these cars are gonna be treated so they make em reasonably tough

Seriously? You really think I should keep the car?
I can guarantee that keeping the car is NOT an investment. Mustangs are all over the place. Keeping an 80s Ferrari in MINT condition is an investment. And something about being $3,000 upside down on my loan indicates that I am in no position to buy a new camaro -- plus, I think they're ugly.

RWDs around here (CO) are impractical. Don't believe me? Well, today it snowed a total of maybe 3 1/2'' and I took the mustang to work which is about 3 miles away from my house. When I left work at 6pm I could not get out of the parking lot (it wouldn't even move more than 2ft) and had to call a friend to pick me up in their pickup. And if someone thinks that I just don't know how to drive in the snow, then they can take their mustang up here and we'll see who gets further.

Anyway, you go ahead and keep you "shit". If it makes you happy, then who cares. Like I said, mine is impractical for the weather we encounter here. Not only do I want a 4x4, I need a 4x4. I'm currently looking at a higher mileage light suv, so hopefully I can sell this before the weekend so that I can pick it up.

Mr. Zip 01-06-2010 08:45 PM

I've driven in the Boulder area, so I understand. Hell, you just got tons of snow today when I was flying back to Texas! You could buy a subaru like 99.9999% of Coloradans lol

Badfish 01-06-2010 08:55 PM

buy a truck :)

I fucking totaled my POS and repaired it and kept it, and it's only a dickless v6. You guys and god damn wankers.

King 01-06-2010 10:02 PM

I've got my eye on a light SUV at the moment - hence the urgency of this sale.

didnt think so.

PureStang 01-06-2010 10:36 PM

i drove my friends Chevy Colorado from the mountain today since he was completely tanked after we left the resort's bar and it drove really nicely (it was the 5 cyl version.) i enjoyed the drive back...though i was exhausted after 2 winter lagers (heavy beer + all day snowboarding = tired drive home)

even the smelly farts and all?

drag_racer33 01-07-2010 08:16 AM

Pick up an early 2000's SUV, I use my brother's 00 explorer in the winter and it was only 4500, but we shopped around for a deal like that.
