HOLY CRAP! CAN SOMEBODY TELL ME WHAT THE **** IS THE POINT OF A V6 MUSTANG? HOLY **** THEY ARE ANNOYING ME RIGHT NOW! My buddy is modding a V6 stang right now and im trying to tell him that its not even close to worth the damn money, but he wont listen! So far he has about $5000 into the engine and my stock 5.0 spanked him by 6 car legnths lol!!! And on top of that, my 5.0 is my beater with 160,000 on the clock haahahahahahahaha!!!!!!

I'm not sure why I'm wasting my time replying to this idiot, but here it goes.
Simple answer: v-6 mustangs account for about 75% of mustangs sold in the U.S. so if the v-6 didn't exist, ford probably wouln't continue the mustang. So be thankful for the v-6's cause they are financing the v-8's more than likely.

And I've watched a v6 on a small nitrous shot beat a 5.0 like it was a honda...
So you and your buddy get some brains together.. and learn to think and plan out what modifications will actually put out.

The point of a V6: to keep the mustang name alive. Lets say that the v6 wasn't around anymore. That would lower average yearly sales of mustangs by around 70%! This has been argued WAY too many times.

but due to Ford's greed, and ridiculous pricing gouging...they themselves make the consumers bypass the more expensive GT.
The GT of today, is where the Cobra Mustang in 2001 was. As long as these ******** keep bumping up the prices, they'll keep slamming the door in the face of the consumer, and before long it will only be the rich that can afford them, and everyone else will be stuck driving junk, or forced into buying cars they have no financial means to pay for, with big payments + figuring in the interest as well.
The V-6 mustang is nothing more than a 6 cylinder vehicle with a Mustang name and cosmetics. Absolutely no reason that thing should be $21,000 or $22,000. At best it's a $13,000 car.
The GT is well overpriced too...at best it's a $21,000 car with low options, $24,000 completely loaded.
The ShelbyGT500 should be no more than about $32 - $35K.
Unfortunately Ford is too stupid to figure it out, that if you make it affordable, then more people will buy your product.

Why does fruit cost so much at the store? I mean we grow tons of the stuff and it's not like we are going to run out anytime soon, but we have to pay for the workers picking it, all the machines used on the farms and crap.
Anyways, back to the original argument. V6s aren't my thing, but they are there for people who can't afford the V8 or maybe they can't afford the insurance on a V8. Consumers like options and this gives someone the option to have a Mustang if they don't want/need the power or just can't afford it.

my car runs a 13.7 @ 104.11, and all i have is a set of 3.73's, and a cold air kit.
stock my car ran a 14.2.
your phantom cobra is probably still at the dealership.
