Its about the only place left on earth where you can be driving to work at 120 MPH, drinking your huge mug of Java and texting at teh same time. Stupid? hell yes...might hit a bump and spill your coffee.

What makes it harder is the trucks cant go any faster than 62 MPH, but the cars hall @$$. Try merging in those conditions. Makes the morning and afternoon commute pretty cool.

My dad is a first sergeant in highway patrol. And sorry to say but its their job and thats is what you get. I dont agree with people who hate cops because they did something stupid and got caught. However i do agree with people who use cheats such as radar detectors. BuyIt.UseIt.Still Dont Speed

damn you just wasted your money...cobra radar detectors suck. i have one and i can only pickup cops about 3/4 mile away..by then it's too late cause they got you.

if you want a good radar detector fork out the $400 and buy a Valentine One.

my brother picked up an Oklahoma State Trooper on our way to Lawton to pick up my 97 Cobra in May 2006, from 3 1/2 miles out.

Valentine One is the shizzle nizzle!

I've had 4 traffic tickets including careless driving, I've been caught by po's smoking pot, I've been arrested and incarcerated, they even took away my 800 dollar Colt 1911 handgun. I don't hate em. A lot of these guys are stand up dudes. They're job is to put their god damn life on the line. I respect them, I don't necessarily LIKE them, but I respect them. Though, the ******* motorcycle pigs, and the ones that just won't give you a break can suck a fat one.

EDIT: oh wait...this thread is old, and I didn't read any of the post including the OP's. Oh well, I have 8 thousand posts, I do what I want YEEEEEEHHHHHHHAWWww

Took away your .45 haha, was it not registered in your parent's name?

Have to be 21 to own a handgun in all of the states IIRC.

it was registered to my mom...but since it was used in an illegal act they have to hold it until my sentence is determined (it's evidence). which means in a few months when I'm off probation, I think i can have 'er back.

I hate the whole idea of undercover squad cars, speed traps, and all the little tricks the police have up their sleeves. They should be in a clearly marked car out in the open, that way people might obey the speed limit when cops are around. Cops should be more interested in the safety of others (preventing speeding related acctidents) instead of being sneaky to hand out fines.

I agree.

that guy obviously thinks that the bad guys run around in vehicles that have BAD GUY painted on the top of the car, and BAD GUY on the license plate, and a big sign on the rear window that says

we're robbing the First National Bank of Liberalfornia on 11th and Grand today @ 8 am sharp...we'll have UZI's and Pistols, so be there so we can have a shootout with you, kill a few cops, and then get busted.

so if they don't know who and where the bad guys are, why should we expect that the cops will be where we know who and where they are gonna be?

now i will agree, i dont agree with using undercover, and unmarked vehicles to run radar and hand out petty tickets...i think unmarked and undercover units should be on the side of the roads to get people who drive at 100+ mph or drive recklessly, or endanger others lives, or fleeing from the police...but not for going 10 or 15 mph over, or forgetting to use their turn signals when changing lanes.
