The problem is that this guy put the xbox BOX on ebay knowing there are idiots out there who would think it was the whole xbox.....he didn't put the box on there because he really wanted to sell the just the box, he did it to screw someone and knew that before puting the box on ebay......So that IS FRAUD anyway you look at it.....you can argue all you want about it was clearly stated that the item was just a BOX, but it doesn't matter because he set out to intentionally screw someone and did. I still say someone should report him to ebay so none of us honest people get screwed by someone like him.

How is what I did fraud? I actually wanted to sell the box. Didnt think some dumb person would end up bidding 325$ on a stupid box. Report me to ebay?....for what?... that is rediculous. Its not my fault people cant read. I did not break any rules in ebay therfore I guess I am an honest guy too.The guy who ended up buying it didnt pay a big price for messing up. I could have easily made him pay for the whole thing. He was cool with everything and he told me he was thankful and that he would read everything on ebay in full from now on. So he is fine.

Try to get people to report me on ebay......Now thats funny!

all right how is it fraud- fraud is a form of lying or deceiving --- he diddnt decieve or lie to anyone he just told them what he had and that he was selling it i mean for god sakes the auction said clearly somthing to the lines of"nothing is inside the box" also it said THE BOX IS COOL CUZ ITS WHITE i mean come on how clear is that... the reason you seem to think you can report this guy to ebay is because YOU personally have it set in your head that he was trying to screw somone over---well sorry to break it to ya but what you think doesnt matter--what matters is what was printed on the auction---which was nothing but factual information---now not that this matters but I THINK that you once upon a time got screwed over by somthing like this because you diddnt read anything---i also very rarely buy things on ebay and when i do i read and reread the auction so many times i almost have it memorized just to make sure i kno what im getting into

As original as it is, its been done, multiple times. When they first came out, people sold one for like 800 bucks. A psp went for a good amount too for just the box. However "funny" it is, you cant tell me you took the risk of starting the auction without the intentions of someone falling for it. Im glad you didnt take the guys money, but it was still a ******** thing to do. You put the features of the xbox on the page, and had someone just skimmed it, they might have missed the part where you said it was a box. Its not a matter of reading skill, but how many auctions do you read EVERY letter. Especially the fancy ones. Just my opinion.

Wheh you're bidding on something, you sure as hell bette read the description. And his auction clearly states that the "Premium xbox live bundle contains...yadda yadda " he didnt say that HIS box contained it. besides, who the hell ever reads the system's description when buying one? If youre about to buy it, you already know what its capable of and what it comes with. The only part on the entire auction is where he described the white box, nothing that he typed ever led someone to believe it was real.

and what about when you buy something, try to return it, but then you read the fine print and youre ****ed. Same story.

Your going to have to pay the ebay fees even if you dont ship it to him. But it serves you right anyway imo.

Definately take the money.

You clearly state it is a box. I also love the "It is white so it is cool." part!!!! If you said you were selling an Xbox 360 console or something and just gave them a box than I would definately say not to sell it, but it is clearly written that it is a box and where you say it is white makes it obvious.

Besides, how many times has this trick been done?? I mean I've seen it done by a lot people on the Internet, hell they even featured it on the Jay Leno Show about stupid stuff on Ebay.

This is not a scam. He says you are paying for a box and even says it is white. Take the money man!

bidders fault 100%.

You should know what you are bidding on and if you dont read, well, thats your own fault.

What is really scary is that there were like EIGHT people willing to pay more than 100 bucks for the box, not just the winner believed this add!!

Look, if you skim through the add and are bidding on something for 2 bucks that is understandable, but when you are spending 300 bucks and pay no attention to the description, thats their fault.

Besides he could just tell Ebay he originally just wanted to sell the box for a couple of bucks...

yes..the bidders were all really really stupid for bidding on it...it is their fault yes...

but there is no way this guy can say he actually wanted to sell the box...he started this out on the pure basis of I wonder how much people will bid on this...he puts the one line of description of the box in and then on top and bottom of the one line saying its a box he describes the xbox 360.....in bigger bolder letters...

the fact that their are people in the world purely out to get the simple money and screw people over in doing so pisses me off...not just saying this guy b/c I know there are a lot of people out there that screw people out of their money..but it just sickens me that some do it with a laugh and....

what has society come to...really...its sick!! yes..on something as simple as this....it just makes it even harder for the honest people to make a sale...thats all this does....one of the main reasons I do not use ebay unless I am buying from a company...

Exactly. I wouldnt have a problem with it if you hadnt listed the MAIN FEATURES of an Xbox 360, you couldve said, its just a box. The end.
