Question will a intake change my exhausts sound

i have the mac cat back system on my car and i was wondering if a k&n intake change my exhausts sound?

i have a K&n intake and larger throttle body on my 5.0 and i dont think my exhaust note changed any.

ok i was just wondering because i read that all air intakes change the
sound i don't remember ware i read it but i was just checking.

i dunno, i tend to disagree with most of the responses to this thread. once i put my CAI on, aside from the noise it makes from sucking the air in, my exhaust sounds a bit louder/deeper. not a whole lot, but it was noticable.

I dont think an CAI will change it but an intake manifold will. A KB changed my exhaust sound alot...

kb = Kenne Bell, which is a brand of supercharger.

it wont change your exhaust note but will pick up a "swooshing" sound from the intake

yes, yes it will. you'll get somewhat of a deeper note. mine for example all i have now is a K&N intake and sounds different than than other same years stock. intakes do change the sound a bit.

i got a bbk cold air intake on my 1998 v6 and it added noticeable hp and good full sound . highly recommend.

yea if you tap the gas real quick it makes a cool sound. The exhaust note only changes if your making alot more power.....
