Im doing gears real real soon and think i want to go 4.30's.I know everyone says 4.10s and thats whats recomendedbut i dont know. My car is my daily driver and all but i really just drive it around town.If i need to go on a trip or go on the freeway i have other vehicals i can take.Im really not that worried about gas milage anyways.Im pretty much just curious if anybody has em and your thoughts on them.If everyone that has them regrets it that might change my mind.

 

get em. if you dont drive on the highway, they are a great gear. Your car will turn into a roasting tire machine if you dont have adequate traction.

 

Like Matt said,if you don't drive it much on the highway then 4:30's would be sweet.

I have a set on 18/9 and 18/10 saleens chillin waitin for tires.And i just put in a fresh clutch...I can not wait for the combo of 4.30 gears/315 tires for traction/ and a new clutch thats gonna grab. gonna be a wild launch.

 

Do you have a beefed up rear end? Sounds like you're gonna end up needing one!

I'm an in town driver as well. I have 4.10s and I often wish that I had gone 4.30s. I was afraid that 4.10 would be too much gear, but with my automatic I think I would prefer more gear. More gear is cheaper than more power, ie supercharger.

 

what is your top end speed with 4.10's?

I wish I would of got 4.30s myself and I have a 5speed! Im just glad I didnt waste my money on 3.73s!
