I just purchased a 2002 GT convertible and do not intend to leave stock height. I am looking at a set of 18x9 Saleen wheels and would like an idea on tire size to help fill some of the wheel gap. Unsure if I want to put a 18x10 on the rear or not. Leaving the same size will allow even rotation and wear. Taking off the 245/45/17 tires. What do you think to give this car an agressice stance without doing suspension mods?

 

without suspension, you'll look like a giant-rim-blingin tard. There is no rim/tire combo that will accomplish what you want without making your speedo useless and tripping a CEL.

Get yourself a set of H&R sport springs, tokico struts/shocks and stick an 18x9 rim. Tires are cheaper and rim choices are greater and you won't lose as much power or braking performance.

 

To pull off 18's you need a big drop or it will look like 4X4 big time...if you go with a bigger diameter tire to fill the fender gap the speedo will be way off and it will even look worse...

 

H&R Race springs with poly isos on the front and stock isos in the rear.....

 

yeah im running 17x9 in the rear and front with cobra rims with a 1.75" lowering. i mean my stang is pretty low i scrap on some speed bumps and driveways. But yeah bigger rims arent going to help your problem you need to get it lowered aswell atleast 1.5"
